Editor discusses zine's origins

Founded in 1995 by brothers Arvind and Vijay, BIGOT documented Singapore’s local hardcore scene. The zine was driven by contributions—opinion pieces, illustrations, comics, reviews— from the community. It promoted openness, freedom of expression, and aimed to spotlight local and regional underground music that was overlooked by more mainstream publications of its time.
